Things that make Rory tick

Rory is a designer who works at OgilvyOne London as head of design. He likes to post things that may or may not include:

music, design, photography, art, digital media, social media, film, everyday snaps, inspirations from Africa, maybe some humour, a little politics...

...and he's bound to moan sometimes.

OK, quite a lot.

Braille Burger campaign for Wimpy South Africa spreads the news of their braille menu in a really sweet way

Wimpy wanted to let visually impaired people know that they offered braille menus in all of their restaurants. To spread the word we built braille burgers that blind people could actually read. With the help of skilled chefs we took sesame seeds and meticulously placed them on burger buns so that the seeds formed braille.

A wooden ball rolls down a track in a forest to great effect for a Japanese mobile company advert

Japanese mobile phone company Docomo has created this wonderful advert featuring a linear musical instrument designed by Drill Inc. A wooden ball rolls slowly along a seemingly endless track of wooden blocks in a tranquil forest creating a xylophone effect. Great photography. Beautiful product.
